Randall Model 1 Fighting Knife This is the knife that Randall has become famous for, however this one has some very desirable "extras" over and above the standard model. Each option is available when ordering, has a separate cost, and as a result will raise the price of the finished knife. Model 18-5 1/2" Survival Knife This is a model 18 survival knife hand forged by Randall Made Knives in Orlando, FL. The model 18 has a 1" tubular handle sealed with a rubber "O" ring which makes it water tight. Sawteeth on top of the blade, very sharp, and a 5 1/2" blade length. Brass oblong double hilt with two holes drilled into it providing a way to tie a wrist thong if desired, optional knurled handle for better grip, a brass butt cap that threads into the end of the handle, with the optional compass installed inside the butt cap. This keeps the compass protected from dings and breakage when carrying. This knife came with the tan colored Sullivan's sheath, and I had the additional black leather sheath custom made and fitted to the knife by Sullivan's. So 2 sheaths, one of each color, both custom made and fitted, are available with this knife. The model 18 is a fantastic camping/hiking knife, as well as a being a great survival knife. The hollow handle provides space for storing items such as fishing line, hooks, pain killers/medicine, fire starting supplies, and so on... whatever you would personally want to have with you in case an emergency situation came about. I have displayed this knife and used it for several photos, overall condition is new. The additional black sheath is easily an extra $100 or more considering the cost of shipping the knife to Sullivan's in FL for making and custom fitting, then shipping back to you.
